Game only: the cartridge in a protective holder, no box or manual. The label is bright and intact. The photos are of this exact copy — look them over closely for its condition, packaging and details. Every cartridge's shell, label and board are checked for authenticity when it comes into the store, and it's tested before it's listed. It ships in a collector's bag or a hard plastic case.

Item Description

Stand on a tree stump, wave the Rod of Seasons, and Holodrum changes around you. Winter freezes water into ice you can cross and piles snow into new paths, summer shrinks lakes and grows climbable vines, autumn fills the woods with mushrooms, and spring brings out its own blooms. The same screen can hide four different puzzles depending on the season, and figuring out which one you need is the hook that drives all of Oracle of Seasons.

The trouble comes from General Onox, who kidnaps Din, the Oracle of Seasons, from the traveling troupe she dances with and sinks the Temple of Seasons deep underground, throwing Holodrum's weather into chaos. Link's task is to recover the eight Essences of Nature from its dungeons and win back control of each season one by one, so the map keeps opening as you go. Below Holodrum lies Subrosia, a volcanic underworld of hooded, lava-bathing Subrosians reached through hidden portals, and it adds a second map and some of the game's strangest detours.

Where its sister game Oracle of Ages is built around puzzles, Seasons leans into action. Fights come faster and more often, and the item set suits that pace: the Roc's Feather upgrades into the Roc's Cape for gliding leaps, the Magnetic Gloves use polarity to pull Link across gaps or shove heavy objects, and the Slingshot fires seeds at whatever is in the way. Animal companions such as Ricky the boxing kangaroo and Dimitri the swimming Dodongo help Link cross terrain he could never manage alone, and a collection of magic rings rewards anyone who explores every corner.

Seasons and Ages were developed by Capcom under Nintendo's supervision and released together in 2001, each a complete adventure that can also be linked to the other through a password system. Play them in sequence and the second game picks up where the first left off, unlocks extra secrets and builds to a true final battle neither game shows on its own. The pair grew out of a more ambitious multi-game plan and is still counted among the best-reviewed games on the Game Boy Color. About the game

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons is one of two Zelda titles released for the Game Boy Color, the other being Oracle of Ages. The game retain many gameplay elements from Link's Awakening such as the graphics, audio and top-view perspective. It also features eight dungeons and a large overworld to explore like in the previous games. Oracle of Seasons is said to be more action-oriented than its counterpart being more puzzle-oriented. After completing one of the two games, both can be linked to form a single linear plot with an alternate ending. Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages were often credited as being two of the top games for the Game Boy Color.
