Released in 2001, The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages is one of two linked titles developed by Capcom under Nintendo’s supervision, alongside Oracle of Seasons. While Seasons focuses on action, Ages leans heavily into puzzles, offering a more cerebral Zelda adventure. Players take on the role of Link as he travels through the land of Labrynna, using the Harp of Ages to move between past and present in order to rescue Nayru, the Oracle of Ages, from the sorceress Veran.
The game features classic top-down Zelda gameplay with a twist: time travel mechanics that alter the environment, solve puzzles, and open new paths. With a large overworld, challenging dungeons, and clever design, Oracle of Ages delivers one of the most intricate portable Zelda experiences.
