Item Description:
Ys Origin [Collector’s Edition] on PS Vita is one of the most beloved action RPG releases available on the handheld, and a standout entry in Falcom’s legendary Ys series. Serving as a prequel to the broader franchise, Ys Origin explores the origins of the mysterious Tower of Darm through multiple playable characters—each with their own story path, abilities, and combat style—making it highly replayable and extremely satisfying for collectors and players alike.

Gameplay is fast, responsive, and perfectly suited to the Vita. Combat feels tight and arcade-like, with a strong focus on movement, timing, upgrades, and intense boss battles. The pacing is excellent, and the game has that rare “just one more floor” momentum that makes it hard to put down.

This is the Collector’s Edition, and it includes all original items that came with the release, making it especially desirable for PS Vita collectors. Collector’s Editions for Vita titles are increasingly difficult to find complete, and Ys Origin is one of the most sought-after physical releases in the system’s library.

Collector’s Edition contents included:

Ys Origin PS Vita game (cartridge)
Original PS Vita case
Collector’s Edition outer box
Official soundtrack CD
Full-color art book
Collector’s edition extras/inserts (as originally included)

Whether you’re building a premium Vita collection, hunting down the best Falcom releases, or looking for a top-tier action RPG you can enjoy anywhere, this complete Collector’s Edition is a fantastic pickup.

About the game

700 years before the events of Ys I & II, the land of Ys was on the brink of destruction. Demons came in droves and forced the twin Goddesses who ruled the land to whisk their subjects away from the surface, into the safe embrace of the clouds. The demons were persistent, however, erecting a massive tower in pursuit. The battle that raged upon the ground had begun ascending for a second round up above. One day, amidst this turmoil, the Goddesses stole away into the night, vanishing from Ys altogether. And there's only one place they could have gone: the Devil's Tower. A search party of knights and sorcerers was hastily formed and dispatched to the surface in hopes of retrieving these runaway deities. Among its members were apprentice knight Yunica Tovah and troubled sorcerer Hugo Fact. This is their story. Or at least, it's how each of them remembers it. Expanding upon the gameplay elements introduced in Ys: The Ark of Napishtim and further developed in Ys: The Oath in Felghana, Ys Origin perfects the formula by adding different styles of play and new features never before seen in the Ys universe.
