Item Description
In Fallout: New Vegas, Wild Wasteland is the trait for players who want the Mojave stranger, unlocking bizarre encounters and pop-culture gags across the map. Magic's version captures that spirit with a red enchantment that throws out the predictable draw step altogether.
For three mana, Wild Wasteland makes you skip your draw step. In exchange, at the beginning of your upkeep you exile the top two cards of your library and may play them that turn. That is two cards a turn instead of one, with the catch that anything you can't use is gone. Lands count, so a flip that includes a land is almost pure upside, and cheap spells make the most of it. Red Commander decks that reward casting spells from exile, or that simply want a relentless flow of action, get a lot of mileage from it, and its flavor text hints that some things out in the wasteland are best left unexplained.
The card comes from the Fallout Commander decks. This is the Fallout surge foil printing, collector number 599, illustrated by Mathias Kollros, with the rippling, layered shine of the surge foil treatment.
