Item Description
Vulpix has been charming trainers since the very first generation: a little red fox with six curled tails and a quiet, almost shy elegance that has made it a fixture in fan art for decades. This card leans into exactly that charm. Numbered 138/132 in ME01: Mega Evolution, it is one of the set's Illustration Rares, where the artwork takes over the whole card and the Pokémon becomes the subject of a full scene rather than a portrait in a box.
The illustration is by saino misaki, and it gives the Fire-type fox the storybook treatment that makes Illustration Rares such a joy to collect. The card itself keeps things simple: a 70 HP Basic Pokémon with Stampede for a single Colorless Energy and Combustion for a Fire and a Colorless. Its real home is a binder page, alongside the rest of a Vulpix and Ninetales collection or a run of Mega Evolution's illustration cards. ME01 is the set that brought Mega Evolution back to the Pokémon TCG, which makes its secret-numbered cards a natural focus for anyone building that set.
This is the ME01: Mega Evolution Illustration Rare, number 138/132, illustrated by saino misaki, in foil.
