Item Description
The five Praetors of New Phyrexia each rule one color's faction, and Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger speaks for the green one: predatory, ravenous and built to outgrow everything around it. The eight-mana Praetor is a 7/6 trampler that adds one extra mana whenever you tap a land for mana, and it leaves every land an opponent taps for mana stuck through that player's next untap step.
On paper it is a big creature; at the table it is a lockdown. The turn after Vorinclex lands you have roughly double your mana to spend, while opponents must decide whether tapping out now is worth crippling their next turn. Green ramp decks, big-mana Commander builds and anything that cheats creatures into play all love it, and it turns mana sinks and X spells into finishers. It is the rare eight-drop that changes the game the moment it resolves, before it ever attacks.
