Item Description

Vizier of the Menagerie turns the top of your library into an extension of your hand. The four-mana 3/4 lets you look at the top card of your library any time, cast creature spells from the top, and spend mana of any type on creature spells.

That third line is easy to overlook, but it means every land you control can pay for any creature, so a mono-green deck can splash off-color creatures and a multicolor deck stops worrying about color requirements for its creatures entirely. Every creature you draw into from the top is a free extra card, and effects that shuffle or rearrange your library keep the stream flowing. In creature-heavy Commander decks, the Vizier is a steady source of card advantage that asks for nothing but a full curve of creatures.

This is the Secret Lair Drop borderless printing, collector number 1100, illustrated by Omar Rayyan, in foil. It comes from The Weirdest Pets in the Multiverse drop, and Rayyan's whimsical, storybook style is a perfect fit for a snake who keeps an entire menagerie on call.
