Item Description

With Vivien, Champion of the Wilds on the battlefield, every creature in your hand becomes an ambush. Her static ability lets you cast creature spells as though they had flash, so you can pass the turn with mana open, flash in a blocker mid-combat, or drop a big threat at the end of an opponent's turn.

At three mana with starting loyalty 4, she is easy to protect. Her +1 gives up to one target creature reach and vigilance until your next turn, which means your attackers can still stand guard and catch fliers. Her −2 looks at the top three cards of your library, exiles one face down and lets you cast it later if it is a creature, a quiet way to keep the threats coming. Simic flash decks and creature-heavy Commander lists love the flexibility.

She first appeared in War of the Spark, and this Secret Lair version features art by Magali Villeneuve. This is the Secret Lair Drop printing, collector number 519, a foil bonus card illustrated by Magali Villeneuve.
