Magic: The Gathering single: Vilis, Broker of Blood. Our grade: Near Mint. Pictured: this printing of the card. Every card ships triple-sleeved — a soft sleeve, a deck sleeve and a rigid top loader.
Item Description
Vilis has always been a demon of contracts, and this Secret Lair printing leans all the way into the paperwork. It is presented in a dossier-style showcase frame with art by Peter Diamond, and the flavor text reads like a warning stamped on the file: "Always slips a 'termination' clause into the fine print."
The card underneath is a Commander favorite. Vilis is an eight-mana 8/8 legendary Demon with flying, and whenever you lose life you draw that many cards, with damage counting as life loss. For one black mana and 2 life, target creature gets -1/-1 until end of turn, so every activation shrinks a creature and draws you two cards. Tokens and small utility creatures disappear while your hand fills up, and decks that pay life on purpose turn his card draw into a flood.
This is the Secret Lair Drop showcase printing, collector number 1567★, a rainbow foil illustrated by Peter Diamond.
