Item Description

Three treasure hunts and the full arc of a hero who helped define the PlayStation 3 era: Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection brings Drake's Fortune, Among Thieves and Drake's Deception together on PS4. Remastered by Bluepoint Games, the studio known for careful restorations of PlayStation classics, the collection gives Naughty Dog's original trilogy a cleaner, faster presentation without losing the swagger that made it famous.

Drake's Fortune, from 2007, is where it all started: Nate, journalist Elena Fisher and his mentor Victor Sullivan following Sir Francis Drake's trail toward El Dorado on a jungle island. Among Thieves raised the bar in 2009 with the hunt for Marco Polo's lost fleet and the mythical Shambhala, including a train sequence through the Himalayas that players still talk about. Drake's Deception, in 2011, sent Nate and Sully after the lost city of Ubar in the Arabian desert, with a burning French chateau, a sinking cruise ship and a cargo plane coming apart in midair among its showpieces.

On PS4 all three run at 1080p and 60 frames per second, with improved lighting, textures and character models that bring the first game in particular closer to its sequels. Bluepoint also added a Photo Mode, borrowed from The Last of Us Remastered, that lets you freeze any moment and frame your own shot, and new trophies give returning players fresh goals. Only the single-player campaigns are included, so this is the story trilogy, with the series' multiplayer left behind on PS3.

This is a PlayStation Hits release, part of Sony's reprint line for its biggest games, and the PAL version is the European release, a nice import pickup for collectors who follow regional variants. As the run-up to Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, it is the clearest way to understand why Nate's final chapter hits as hard as it does.

About the game

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is a remastered compilation of the action-adventure shooter platform video games Drake's Fortune, Among Thieves, and Drake's Deception. Ported by Bluepoint Games, the collection was released exclusively for the PlayStation 4 on October 7, 2015 in Europe and October 9th, 2015 in North America. The Nathan Drake Collection features the original three games in the Uncharted series with 1080p resolution, 60 frames per second, better lighting, textures and models. The collection also implements a "Photo Mode", a mode where the player can freeze the game at any moment to take personalized screenshots, derived from Naughty Dog's other remastered entry, The Last of Us Remastered, as well as new trophies. The ported games only include their respective single-player modes. The pre-ordered version of The Nathan Drake Collection includes the "Nathan Drake Pack", which consists of single-player skins of iconic Nathan Drake outfits, as well as two weapons: the Golden AK-47 and Golden 92FS - 9mm.
