In 2001, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 introduced the revert, the little quarter-pipe landing that let vert combos flow straight into manuals and turned every park into one endless line. A year later, Pro Skater 4 threw out the countdown clock and let you roam its levels taking goals from the people you met. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 rebuilds both from the ground up, following the 2020 remake of the first two games, and it lands right where that collection left off: fast, fluid and dangerously replayable.
Iron Galaxy built the collection on the mechanics of the earlier remake plus moves from across the series up through Underground, so manuals, reverts, spine transfers and long grind chains all link together naturally. Familiar maps like Foundry, Canada, Airport and Tokyo from Pro Skater 3 sit beside College, Alcatraz and Zoo from Pro Skater 4, and new parks designed for this release join the lineup. The biggest change is to Pro Skater 4's career, which swaps free-roaming goals for two-minute runs to tie both games to the same rhythm, with an option to stretch the timer up to an hour if you prefer to explore. It is the decision fans debated most, and you can play it either way.
The roster spans generations: Tony Hawk, Bucky Lasek and Rodney Mullen skate alongside modern stars like Yuto Horigome, Rayssa Leal, Aurélien Giraud and Chloe Covell, thirty-one pros in all. Secret guests include Officer Dick and, of all things, Michelangelo of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Bam Margera returns as an unlockable. Create-a-Skater and Create-a-Park both have more tools than before, and split-screen sessions bring back the couch rivalries that ruled sleepovers twenty years ago.
Critics praised the presentation and the feel of the skating, and the game earned a Golden Joystick nomination for Best Remake/Remaster. Paired with the 1 + 2 remake on a Series X shelf, it completes the run of Pro Skater games that defined the early 2000s for so many players.
