Item Description
Tony Hawk Underground 2 Remix is the definitive handheld version of one of the most unhinged, gleefully chaotic entries in the legendary Tony Hawk's Pro Skater franchise. Released for the PlayStation Portable, this Remix edition took the console original — already a wild ride built around a globe-trotting "World Destruction Tour" led by Tony Hawk and Bam Margera — and expanded it with PSP-exclusive content, making it more than just a straight port. If you thought the mainline THUG2 was packed, the Remix cranks it further with additional levels, characters, and content you simply couldn't get on PS2 or Xbox.
The core game is a loving descent into skate-punk anarchy. You and a rotating cast of pros and personalities tear through locations ranging from New Orleans to Barcelona to Australia, pulling off massive combos, completing story objectives, and generally causing mayhem at every turn. The humor is irreverent and unapologetic — this is the era when the Tony Hawk series leaned hard into personality and spectacle, and THUG2 is arguably the peak of that energy. The story mode is laugh-out-loud ridiculous in the best possible way, and the skating mechanics underneath all the chaos remain tight, responsive, and deeply satisfying.
What makes the Remix version particularly special for collectors is its status as a PSP-exclusive release. It never came to other platforms in this form, which gives it a distinct identity in the Tony Hawk library rather than just being a handheld footnote. The UMD format holds up well, and the game translates the skateboarding playground experience onto the PSP's screen with impressive fidelity for its era. Bonus characters and stages make it worth revisiting even for players who already know the console version inside and out.
From a collecting standpoint, complete-in-box PSP games are increasingly hard to find in solid shape. The PSP case design is notoriously fragile, and finding copies with clean, uncracked cases is becoming more of a challenge as time goes on. A near mint example like this one is genuinely worth appreciating.
This is a perfect pick for Tony Hawk series devotees, PSP library collectors, and anyone who grew up skating through the golden age of extreme sports games and wants to relive that era in handheld form.
