Our grade: Near Mint. Pictured: this printing of the card. Every card ships triple-sleeved — a soft sleeve, a deck sleeve and a rigid top loader.
Item Description
Thespian's Stage looks harmless: a colorless land that taps for {C}. Its second ability is where the theater starts. For {2} and a tap, it becomes a copy of any target land on the battlefield, yours or an opponent's, except it keeps this copying ability so it can change roles again later.
That flexibility opens up all kinds of tricks. Copy Dark Depths and the copy arrives with no ice counters, immediately creating Marit Lage, a 20/20 flying, indestructible Avatar token, in one of Magic's most famous two-card combos. In Commander, it can mirror Cabal Coffers, Gaea's Cradle or any utility land an opponent brought to the table, and it fills the same role as a second copy of whatever land your deck depends on most. For land-focused decks it is a versatile toolbox that rewards creativity.
This is the Secret Lair Drop printing, collector number 2310, a borderless card illustrated by Yuu Fujiki, offered here in foil. It belongs to Magic's Avatar: The Last Airbender crossover, and the flavor text recalls the Ember Island Players' infamous production of The Boy in the Iceberg, which Team Avatar agreed was terrible apart from its special effects.
