Our grade: Near Mint. Pictured: this printing of the card. Every card ships triple-sleeved — a soft sleeve, a deck sleeve and a rigid top loader.
Item Description
The Locust God turns card draw into an invasion. It is a six-mana blue and red 4/4 flyer, and whenever you draw a card it creates a 1/1 blue and red Insect with flying and haste. Draw three, get three; cast a wheel and watch the sky fill.
Draw-matters decks love it. Every card you draw, on your turn or an opponent's, becomes a flying, hasty 1/1, so a single wheel effect or a big draw spell can put an air force on the table that attacks immediately. The {2}{U}{R} loot ability is its own engine: draw a card, make an Insect, discard the card you least need. And when The Locust God dies, it returns to its owner's hand at the beginning of the next end step, so removal only slows it down.
This is the Commander 2020 printing, collector number 219, illustrated by Lius Lasahido, in non-foil. Originally one of the three gods of Hour of Devastation, it returned in Commander 2020 and makes a natural commander for blue-red decks that want every draw to matter.
