Magic: The Gathering single: Thalia, Heretic Cathar, from Buy-a-Box Promos. Our grade: Near Mint. Pictured: this printing of the card. Every card ships triple-sleeved — a soft sleeve, a deck sleeve and a rigid top loader.
Item Description
Johannes Voss helped paint the very first Thalia in Dark Ascension, so his alternate-art take on Thalia, Heretic Cathar brings the character full circle. This is the Eldritch Moon Buy-a-Box promo, collector number 46, a foil given to players who bought a booster box of the set.
The card is a three-mana 3/2 with first strike, and while she is on the battlefield, creatures and nonbasic lands your opponents control enter tapped. Hasty threats can't attack right away, creatures cast on an opponent's turn are still tapped when you swing, and dual lands arrive too late to help. Your own permanents and basic lands are untouched, which makes her a clean fit for white aggro, hatebear decks and creature-heavy Commander lists.
As an alternate-art foil promo, it is a distinctive way to put Innistrad's heretic cathar on the table.
