Item Description
Terminate has spent more than two decades as black-red's cleanest answer to a creature, and on this printing it gets the full comic-book treatment. Two mana, instant speed: destroy target creature, and it can't be regenerated. There are no restrictions on color or type, so it handles whatever hero or villain is causing you trouble.
That reliability keeps it in Rakdos, Grixis, Mardu, Jund and five-color Commander decks, where killing a commander or combo piece at the right moment can decide the game. It is equally at home in cubes and casual black-red builds, and it is one of those cards experienced players reach for almost automatically.
This is the Marvel Universe printing, collector number 40, a borderless mythic in non-foil, with art by Mark Bagley & Randy Emberlin. Marvel Universe is the 40-card bonus sheet found in Magic's Marvel's Spider-Man boosters, reprinting Magic cards with artwork drawn from Spider-Man comics, and Bagley's name will ring a bell for anyone who followed the web-slinger's adventures in the 1990s and 2000s. His pencils give a classic Rakdos removal spell a look straight off the comic-shop rack.
