Item Description

In the late 2010s, a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cabinet with four sets of buttons sat glowing in arcades and family entertainment centres, built by Raw Thrills around Nickelodeon's 2012 animated series. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade: Wrath of the Mutants brings that machine home to PlayStation 5, and it does not hold back on the fan service, throwing the brothers against a gallery of villains drawn from across the show's run.

The home version, developed by Cradle Games with Raw Thrills and published by GameMill in 2024, adds three new stages to the arcade original and nearly doubles the boss count from seven to thirteen. Bebop and Rocksteady, Tiger Claw, Rahzar, Fishface, Baxter Stockman, Chrome Dome, The Creep and Karai all take their shot, alongside Krang Sub-Prime and a 1987-style Krang who crashes the party from the classic cartoon, before Shredder and a hulking Super Shredder close things out. Stages range from the TCRI building to the alien weirdness of Dimension X.

The fighting is classic arcade beat 'em up: pick Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello or Michelangelo, and wade through waves of enemies that fill the screen, exactly as the cabinet intended. It is short and simple by design, closer to a quarter-muncher than to the deeper systems of Shredder's Revenge, and that is exactly its appeal. With four-player local co-op on one screen, it is a pick-up-and-play pizza-night brawler for a couch full of friends or kids who grew up on the 2012 series.
