Item Description
A legendary firebird flying Team Rocket's colors is a striking image, and Team Rocket's Moltres ex earns its place on the villains' side with more than looks. It's a Basic Fire-type ex with 220 HP, so it hits the field ready to work with no evolution line to assemble.
Flame Screen deals 110 for three Energy and cuts the damage Moltres takes by 50 during your opponent's next turn, which makes it a frustrating target to trade into. The headline move is Evil Incineration: discard a Team Rocket's Energy from Moltres and your opponent's Active Pokémon goes straight to the discard pile along with every card attached to it. Because it isn't a Knock Out, no Prize cards are taken, but the threat in front of you is simply gone, no matter how much HP it had. Building up to that moment, and choosing which big attacker to erase, is what makes Moltres such a thrill in a Team Rocket's deck.
This is 208/182 from SV10: Destined Rivals, an Ultra Rare numbered beyond the set's main 182 cards: the full-art holofoil version of the ex, illustrated by 5ban Graphics. For collectors building out the set's Team Rocket roster, the full-art Moltres is a headline piece.
