Choose from 2 versions of this card in the list — each is listed by its finish and style. Our grade: Near Mint, for every version. Pictured: these printings of the card. Every card ships triple-sleeved — a soft sleeve, a deck sleeve and a rigid top loader.
Imagine finishing your second main phase and then getting to untap everything, trigger every upkeep effect again and draw another card, all before your turn ends. That is Sphinx of the Second Sun. At the beginning of each of your postcombat main phases, you get an additional beginning phase: a fresh untap step, upkeep step and draw step. Your lands untap for another round of spells, your mana rocks come back online and your upkeep triggers fire twice.
Attached to an eight-mana 6/6 flier, that turns into absurd value in Commander. Blue decks built around upkeep payoffs, tap-ability creatures or big mana get to double up every single turn, and the extra draw keeps the gas flowing. It is a top-end finisher that changes how every later turn plays out, and its flavor text, a sphinx watching in silence as Amonkhet's Hour of Revelation draws near, gives it real gravitas.
Choose from two Commander Legends printings, both illustrated by Antonio José Manzanedo and both in non-foil: the standard version, collector number 99, and the extended-art version, collector number 643, which carries the art out toward the card's edges.
