Our grade: Near Mint. Pictured: this printing of the card. Every card ships triple-sleeved — a soft sleeve, a deck sleeve and a rigid top loader.
There is no cleaner kind of theft in Magic than Sower of Temptation. For four mana you get a 2/2 flier, and when it enters you gain control of target creature for as long as the Sower stays on the battlefield. Take their biggest threat, their commander or their best blocker, and point it right back at them.
The catch is that the theft lasts only as long as a fragile 2/2 survives, and that tension is what makes the card so exciting to play. Opponents must find an answer to a small flier or watch their best creature fight for you, and protection effects or a counterspell held up behind it make the Sower much harder to deal with. In blue Commander decks and Faerie builds, it is a swing card that can flip a losing board in a single play.
This is the Secret Lair Drop printing from Artist Series: Seb McKinnon, collector number 120, illustrated by Seb McKinnon, in non-foil. McKinnon's moody, dreamlike style is a perfect match for a Lorwyn faerie that lures creatures into switching sides, and it gives this Sower a very different mood from its original printing.
