Item Description
Slimefoot, the Stowaway is a fungal engine disguised as a modest three-drop. The black-green legendary Fungus is a 2/3 for three mana, and for four generic mana it creates a 1/1 green Saproling whenever you like. Whenever a Saproling you control dies, Slimefoot deals 1 damage to each opponent and you gain 1 life, so every chump block, trade or sacrifice drains the whole table.
As a Golgari commander, Slimefoot gives you a clear plan: build a Saproling army, then feed it to sacrifice outlets for repeated drains. Late in the game, spare mana keeps turning into fresh tokens, and even a board wipe becomes a payoff, since every Saproling that dies triggers a drain. Old-school Thallids and modern Saproling makers alike find a natural home here.
This is the Secret Lair Drop printing, collector number 1138, a borderless full-art version illustrated by Tripper Dungan, offered here in foil. Slimefoot debuted in Dominaria in 2018, and the borderless treatment lets Dungan's art run all the way to the card's edges.
