Skylanders Imaginators is the sixth mainline entry in Activision's beloved Skylanders franchise, and it arrives with what is arguably the series' most ambitious hook yet — a full character creation system that lets you design your own Skylander from the ground up. You choose the element, the battle class, the weapons, the personality, the voice, and the look, then bring that creation to life in the game itself. It's a genuinely clever twist on the toys-to-life formula that set Skylanders apart in the first place, and it gives the game enormous replay value and personalization that earlier entries simply didn't have.

The PS4 version looks and plays great, with vibrant, colorful environments and the smooth combat and platforming that fans of the series have come to expect. The game also brought back the beloved Senseis — veteran Skylanders who serve as mentors to your custom creations and unlock special powers and secret areas.
