Item Description
For many players, Friday Night Magic promos are souvenirs of weekly game nights at the local store, and Serum Visions is a fitting one: a card that showed up in blue decks at those very tables for years. One blue mana draws you a card and then lets you scry 2, so you look at the next two cards of your library and keep only what you want on top. Since the draw happens first, you make that choice with the most information possible.
First printed in Fifth Dawn in 2004, Serum Visions became a workhorse for blue decks that want to hit land drops, find key spells and fuel cards that reward casting instants and sorceries. In Commander and cube it smooths out early turns, and in spell-heavy decks it's one more cheap trigger for prowess, magecraft and similar payoffs.
This is the Friday Night Magic promo printing, offered here in foil, a version that adds a bit of organized-play history to any blue deck.
