Our grade: Near Mint. Pictured: this printing of the card. Every card ships triple-sleeved — a soft sleeve, a deck sleeve and a rigid top loader.
Item Description
Some decks run a perfect multicolor mana base built on shock lands, triomes and utility lands. Ruination answers all of it at once: for four mana, destroy all nonbasic lands. Every player is affected, you included, so it shines in decks built mostly on basic Mountains, where you shrug off the blast while greedier opponents lose half their mana.
In Commander, where many decks lean heavily on nonbasic lands, a well-timed Ruination can swing an entire game, and mono-red or basic-heavy two-color builds are its natural home. It's also a statement card, the kind that changes the mood at the table the moment it hits the stack.
This is the Secret Lair Drop printing from the sAnS mERcY drop, collector number 9993, a borderless card illustrated by Joseph Meehan, in foil with the drop's rainbow foil finish. The whole drop leans into the mocking alternating-caps style of internet meme fame, right down to the printed name rUiNatIOn and flavor text that taunts its victims: "oUcHy-wAh-wAh, pLs dOn'T cRY!"
