Item Description
Seven cards is a rule, and Reliquary Tower simply deletes it. With this land on the battlefield you have no maximum hand size, so the cleanup step never forces a discard no matter how much you have drawn. It still taps for colorless mana like any utility land, which means it costs almost nothing to include and fits every color identity.
That combination is why it sits in the top ten of EDHREC's most-played Commander cards. Long multiplayer games reward drawing deep, and draw engines, wheel effects and big instant-speed turns can easily produce more cards than seven slots can hold. The Tower lets you sit on counterspells, removal and combo pieces instead of pitching them at end of turn, and it turns creatures that count the cards in your hand, like Maro, from cute to frightening.
This is the Secret Lair x Fallout: Points of Interest printing, collector number 1536, a borderless Universes Beyond card credited to AKQA. The drop's name nods to the map markers Fallout players chase across the wasteland, and it puts that post-apocalyptic flavor on a land that earns a slot in nearly every Commander deck you will ever build.
