Item Description

Ratchet & Clank Size Matters originally made its name on the PSP before being brought to the PlayStation 2 by Mass Media Inc., giving home console fans a chance to experience the handheld adventure on the big screen. The game fits comfortably within the beloved Ratchet & Clank franchise, delivering the signature blend of third-person action, platforming, and gadget-driven combat that made Insomniac's series one of the crown jewels of PlayStation gaming. If you grew up blasting robots and collecting bolts across exotic planets, Size Matters carries that same irreverent spirit that defined the series.

The story centers on Ratchet and Clank as they cross paths with a mysterious girl named Luna during what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation — naturally, things go sideways fast. What follows is a globe-trotting adventure full of oversized weapons, wild gadgets, and the sharp humor the franchise is known for. The game leans into the duo's chemistry, and longtime fans will appreciate how comfortably it slots into the wider Ratchet & Clank universe without missing a beat.

Gameplay-wise, Size Matters brings a solid arsenal of upgradeable weapons and the series' trademark chaotic combat arenas to the PS2 format. The armor customization system adds a layer of strategy that rewards experimentation, letting you mix and match pieces to build different stat bonuses — a feature that gives the game a little more depth than its handheld origins might suggest. The controls translate well to the DualShock 2, and the colorful, imaginative level design gives you plenty of reasons to explore every corner.

From a collector's standpoint, the PS2 version of Size Matters occupies a genuinely interesting space. It isn't the most common entry in the franchise to track down as a complete-in-box copy, and having the manual alongside the disc and case puts this well above the average loose cart find. The box art features that classic duo front and center, and it looks right at home on a shelf next to the mainline PS2 trilogy.

This is a great pick for Ratchet & Clank fans looking to complete their PS2 collection, for platformer enthusiasts who want more mileage out of a beloved era, or for anyone who simply wants a fun, complete action-platformer from one of PlayStation's most charming franchises.
