Item Description

Punk Helmet is the kind of Pokémon Tool that makes an opponent think twice before swinging. Attach it to a Darkness Pokémon, and if that Pokémon is in the Active Spot when it takes damage from an opponent's attack, the attacker gets 4 damage counters placed on it. The payback happens even if your Pokémon is Knocked Out, so the helmet still gets the last word.

Forty damage of guaranteed recoil goes a long way. Because it arrives as damage counters rather than attack damage, Weakness and Resistance don't change it, and it can quietly set up a knockout on your next turn or finish off an attacker that is already worn down. It plays like a meaner, Darkness-only take on the old Rocky Helmet idea, and it gives Darkness decks of the Mega Evolution era a real deterrent against big hitters.

This is the ME02: Phantasmal Flames printing, number 121/094, an Ultra Rare holofoil credited to Studio Bora Inc. Its number runs past the set's main count, placing it among Phantasmal Flames' secret-numbered prints, and it gives a Trainer card the same binder-page presence as the set's big Pokémon pulls.
