Item Description
Psionic Sliver hands every Sliver a loaded weapon with a nasty kickback. This five-mana blue 2/2 gives all Sliver creatures the ability to tap and deal 2 damage to any target and 3 damage to themselves. On its own that is a self-destruct button, but in a deck that pumps Sliver toughness it becomes a board full of repeatable pingers.
That puzzle is what makes it so fun. Stack toughness-boosting Slivers and each member of the hive can fire every turn and survive; skip the support and you still have a row of disposable cannons ready to finish off a creature, a planeswalker or a player. Remember that it grants the ability to every Sliver creature on the battlefield, including any your opponents control, so read the table before you cast it.
This is the Secret Lair Drop printing, collector number 621, an extended-art foil Secret Lair bonus card illustrated by Wayne England. The extended frame lets England's artwork stretch across the full width of the card, and it sits neatly beside other extended-art Secret Lair Slivers in a hive-themed binder or a Sliver Overlord deck.
