Our grade: Near Mint. Pictured: this printing of the card. Every card ships triple-sleeved — a soft sleeve, a deck sleeve and a rigid top loader.
Item Description
Every Avatar fan remembers the warning that set Aang's journey in motion, and this Preordain borrows that moment for Magic's Avatar: The Last Airbender crossover. Its flavor text recalls Monk Gyatso telling a young Aang that troubling signs are gathering, a perfect fit for a spell about glimpsing what lies ahead.
The card itself is pure blue efficiency. For one mana you scry 2, keeping or bottoming the top two cards of your library, then draw a card, so you see three cards deep and keep the best one. It smooths out awkward draws, digs toward key pieces, and triggers anything that rewards casting instants and sorceries, which makes it a natural fit for spellslinger and combo decks in Commander and beyond.
This is the Secret Lair Drop printing, collector number 2301, a borderless showcase version illustrated by Faustine Dumontier, in rainbow foil as listed. It brings an Avatar spin to a cantrip that blue players reach for again and again.
