Magic: The Gathering single: Ponder. Our grade: Near Mint. Pictured: this printing of the card. Every card ships triple-sleeved — a soft sleeve, a deck sleeve and a rigid top loader.
Item Description
Ponder looks humble: one blue mana to look at your top three cards, put them back in any order or shuffle, and then draw one. In practice it is one of the cleanest ways in Magic to smooth a draw, set up the next few turns, or dig for the exact land or combo piece your hand is missing.
Blue Commander decks play it constantly, and it shines anywhere the top of your library matters. You can shuffle away dead cards before a big draw, stack the deck ahead of a Brainstorm, or line up a strong hit before an effect that reveals your top card. That choice between keeping the top three and shuffling them away is what makes Ponder feel so good to cast every single time.
This is the Secret Lair Drop printing, collector number 245, a borderless card illustrated by Ejiwa "Edge" Ebenebe, offered here in non-foil. It comes from Secret Lair's Black Is Magic drop, which spotlighted Black artists in the Magic community, and its flavor text adds a mentor's warmth, with Rielle promising a young girl that she will teach her how to make the future brighter.
