Item Description
Every lock has a key, and in the XY era this Supporter was it. Pokemon Ranger's text is short and sweeping: remove all effects of attacks on each player and his or her Pokémon. Attacks that leave lasting effects behind, like Seismitoad-EX's Quaking Punch shutting off Item cards or an attacker's protection against damage, disappear the moment you play it, and that kind of reset can swing a match that seemed decided.
It is a card that rewards knowing the format. Players kept it in their lists specifically to break the attack-based locks of the day, and it reads like a reminder of how much tournament play leaned on lasting attack effects in 2016.
XY Steam Siege arrived in August 2016 as one of the last expansions of the XY series, and this Full Art printing, 113/114, gives a functional Supporter the full-bleed treatment collectors love, with the Trainer art filling the entire card, in foil.
