Item Description

The first time a Tallneck strides past close enough to fill your entire field of view, PlayStation VR2 makes its case. Sony built its second-generation headset around the PS5, and it connects with a single USB-C cable instead of the processor box and external camera the original PS VR depended on. Four cameras on the headset track you and the controllers, eye tracking follows where you look, and OLED panels put 2000 x 2040 pixels in front of each eye with HDR. The headset even carries its own subtle vibration, so a nearby impact registers right across your forehead.

The PS VR2 Sense controllers bring the DualSense playbook into each hand, with adaptive triggers, detailed haptics and finger touch detection that notices when your fingers rest on the buttons. Horizon Call of the Mountain, developed by Firesprite with Guerrilla, was designed to show all of it off. You play as Ryas, a former Shadow Carja soldier, climbing cliff faces hand over hand, drawing a bow with real arm motion and facing down machines at a scale a flat screen simply cannot convey.

This bundle pairs the headset with the game Sony chose as its launch showcase for the hardware, which makes it a natural way to step into virtual reality on PS5 with a world PlayStation fans already know.
