Item Description
Few Energy cards carry a team's identity like this one. Plasma Energy is a Special Energy that provides a single Colorless Energy, which sounds modest until you remember what it was built for: the Team Plasma cards of the Black & White era were designed to interact with it. Lugia-EX and Plasma Frigate both reference Plasma Energy, and Colress Machine searched it out of your deck and attached it straight to a Team Plasma Pokémon, turning it into the fuel line of Plasma decks.
The card was printed across the whole Team Plasma run, from Plasma Storm through Plasma Freeze to Plasma Blast, the 2013 expansion that closed out the trilogy. That gives it a special place in any collection built around the villainous team and the era when the Plasma name shaped how decks were constructed.
This is the Plasma Blast printing, 91/101, in foil, a fitting way to round out a Team Plasma binder or rebuild a deck from that period.
