Item Description
Tepig’s belted, barrel-chested middle evolution looks like it walked straight out of a wrestling ring, and Kouki Saitou’s illustration leans into that swagger. Pignite is the bridge between Unova’s scrappy Fire starter and the hulking Emboar, the stage where the little pig suddenly looks ready for a fight.
The McDonald’s Collection 2012 was a 12-card Happy Meal set built around Unova Pokémon, putting real, playable holofoil cards into the hands of kids who might never have opened a booster pack. This Pignite works on the table, too: Flame Charge searches your deck for a Fire Energy card and attaches it to Pignite, and Heat Crash hits for 50. It is a simple plan that teaches the rhythm of Energy acceleration, and the 100-HP Stage 1 body gives it time to carry it out.
This is the McDonald’s Collection 2012 printing, card 4/12, illustrated by Kouki Saitou, in holofoil. Fast-food promo sets are a favorite side quest for Pokémon collectors, and this one pairs well with a Tepig line from the main Black & White sets or a run of Happy Meal promos through the years.
