Item Description

Two very different faces of Paldea share the spotlight here. On one side is Quaxly, the tidy little Water-type duckling starter with its slicked-back crest and prim personality. On the other is Miraidon, the sleek, futuristic Legendary that serves as your ride across the region in Pokémon Violet. Pairing the friendly starter with the high-tech cover star gives this Paldea Collection a lot of personality.

The Scarlet & Violet era brought major changes to the Pokémon TCG, including the return of lowercase ex cards: powerful rule-box Pokémon that echo the ex mechanic longtime fans remember from the early 2000s. Miraidon ex quickly proved it was more than a pretty face. In the 2023 Standard format, its ability to pull Lightning-type Basic Pokémon straight onto the Bench powered one of the era's most talked-about competitive decks, so a Miraidon ex card has real history behind it.

Quaxly has its own devoted following among starter collectors, especially those who love watching it grow into the flamboyant dancer Quaquaval. Collection boxes like this one are a friendly way to dive into the generation: a few booster packs to open plus promo cards of the featured Pokémon, presented in a box that makes an easy, thoughtful gift for a Paldea fan who wants both the cute and the cutting-edge sides of the region.
