Item Description

Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, The Undertaker and Jake Roberts were household names in the spring of 1992, and Nintendo Power Volume 35 brought them to the Super NES with WWF Super WrestleMania on its April 1992 cover. The game packed the era's larger-than-life roster into one-on-one bouts, tag-team matches and four-on-four Survivor Series elimination showdowns, the kind of chaos that made it a sleepover staple.

Around the cover story is a lively spring issue. The Super NES section covers The Addams Family and Super Smash TV, the NES gets Captain America and the Avengers, T&C 2: Thrilla's Surfari and Yoshi, and the Game Boy pages turn to Star Trek, Ultra Golf and Missile Command. Classified Information collects codes for Super Ghouls 'N Ghosts, Gradius III and U.N. Squadron, Counselors' Corner helps with Final Fantasy II, Super Mario World and StarTropics, and the Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Bros. and Nester's Adventures comics round it out.

This cover catches the WWF's first leap onto Nintendo's 16-bit hardware, at the height of the Hulkamania years. It is a great pull for a wrestling collection or a run of early 1990s Nintendo Power.
