Item Condition

This is Nintendo Power Volume 69 (Issue #69), the February 1995 issue with Mega Man X2 on the cover, complete with its original fold-out poster. All pages are intact and the spine is clean. Look over the photos for condition and details. It ships carefully packed and protected.

Item Description

Three X-Hunters, eight Mavericks and a fallen friend scattered in pieces. Mega Man X2 gave the Blue Bomber's armored successor a mission with real stakes, and Nintendo Power Volume 69 puts it right on the cover. Capcom built the sequel around its Cx4 chip for wireframe and rotation effects, let X dash from the very start, and hid armor upgrades and heart tanks throughout the stages, all while the X-Hunters lurked in hidden rooms holding Zero's parts. It is the kind of game that rewards a good guide, and this issue's feature walks through the stages and bosses that made it such a satisfying follow-up to the original Mega Man X.

The rest of the issue lands in early 1995, with the Super NES at a creative high point. Kirby's Dream Course, Wolverine: Adamantium Rage, SeaQuest DSV and the second part of The Lion King coverage all get features, and a special strategy section tackles Super Punch-Out!!. Game Boy readers get a preview of Donkey Kong Land, the handheld follow-up to Donkey Kong Country, while Counselors' Corner fields questions on Illusion of Gaia, Final Fantasy III and Breath of Fire.

Capcom action, Rare's jungle on the go and a stack of 16-bit RPG help in one issue: Volume 69 is a sharp pickup for a Mega Man X shelf or a run of mid-90s Nintendo Power.
