Three players a side, all 30 NBA franchises on the schedule and every team's official mascot waiting to be unlocked: NBA Bounce is basketball boiled down to its most playful parts. Published by Outright Games in 2025 under the league's official team license, it swaps photorealistic rosters for cartoony, generic ballers in real team colors, which keeps the attention on fast breaks, steals and dunks instead of ratings and contracts.
Shooting runs on a timing meter with a generous sweet spot, so buckets come often and a perfectly released jumper still feels earned, while passing, stealing and dunking stay simple enough for young players to pick up within a game or two. Quick matches, custom tournaments and a full season cover the traditional side, and the season even works in the NBA Cup and a playoff run. Party Mode is where things get gloriously silly: every quarter brings a new twist, from a three-point line that changes size and bonus scoring spots to a shocking Electroball that punishes anyone who holds it too long, and any of them can flip a close game in seconds.
Every official team mascot can be unlocked and played, which gives younger fans a reason to tour the whole league rather than sticking with the hometown squad, and more than 30 challenges plus a big wardrobe of avatar gear keep the rewards coming. Ian Eagle calls the action, up to four players can share the couch, and that is where the game is happiest: quick, low-stakes matches in which a parent and a grade-schooler can both make the highlight reel. Reviewers noted that its variety thins out faster than its fundamentals, so it plays best as a family game-night pick rather than a deep simulation.
On PS5 it fills a spot the annual sim series leaves wide open: a basketball game pitched at the youngest fan in the house, built around the logos and mascots they already cheer for at the arena.
