Item Description

Mystic Sanctuary looks like an Island, taps like an Island, and then hands you back your best spell. Originally from Throne of Eldraine, it is a land with the Island subtype that enters tapped unless you control three or more other Islands. When it does enter untapped, you may put target instant or sorcery card from your graveyard on top of your library.

Because it really is an Island, any effect that searches for an Island card can find it, and it fits naturally in decks full of basics and Island-typed duals. That top-of-library recursion is the real prize: run back a counterspell, a tutor, a board wipe or an extra-turn spell on your very next draw. Spellslinger Commander decks love it, especially alongside ways to bounce and replay lands for multiple triggers.

This is the Time Spiral Remastered printing, collector number 408, illustrated by Randy Vargas, in non-foil. It comes from the set's timeshifted sheet, which presents modern cards in the classic retro frame, giving a 2019 design a look straight out of the 1990s.
