Item Description

Fetchlands have been a cornerstone of Magic deck building since Zendikar, and Misty Rainforest is the green-blue member of the cycle. It does not tap for mana itself. Instead, tap it, pay 1 life and sacrifice it to search your library for a Forest or Island card, put it onto the battlefield, then shuffle.

The real power is in that word "card." Misty can fetch any land with the Forest or Island type, including typed dual lands, so a single fetch can fix two colors at once in a three- or four-color deck. Each one also triggers landfall twice, puts a land in your graveyard for decks that recur them, and shuffles away a top of library you did not want. In Commander it is a quiet engine for Simic landfall decks, graveyard strategies and any blue-green mana base that wants smoother draws.

This is the Special Guests borderless printing, collector number 111, illustrated by Adam Paquette, in non-foil. Its flavor text paints the scene, contrasting a mist "turbulent enough to deafen" with the calm beneath the forest boughs. The borderless frame gives Paquette's artwork the full width of the card.
