Item Description

In Tolkien's story, the Lady of Lothlórien lets Frodo and Sam look into her mirror and glimpse visions of the past, the present and futures that might yet come to pass. Mirror of Galadriel turns that moment into a steady stream of insight. It is a two-mana colorless legendary artifact: pay {5} and tap it to scry 1, then draw a card, and the ability costs {1} less for each legendary creature you control.

That discount is what makes it exciting. With your commander on the battlefield it is already a four-mana draw engine, and in a legends-focused Commander deck the cost melts away quickly; with five or more legendary creatures, it is simply tap to scry and draw every turn. Because it is colorless, it fits any Middle-earth themed deck or legendary-heavy build, and the scry lets you shape your next draw before you take it.

This is the Secret Lair Drop printing, collector number 1295, illustrated by Bakshi Productions, in foil. The artwork draws on Ralph Bakshi's 1978 animated The Lord of the Rings, giving the card the distinctive look of that classic film and setting it apart from the Tales of Middle-earth original.
