Item Description
Full-art treatments were made for a Pokémon like this. Mega Diancie is a living jewel, the Rock and Fairy Mythical from Kalos whose Mega Evolution in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire wraps it in a dress of faceted pink crystal, and DOM's artwork on this Ascended Heroes card gives that design the whole face of the card instead of a framed window.
It plays as well as it displays. Mega Diancie ex is a Basic Psychic Mega Evolution Pokémon ex with 270 HP, and Diamond Coat reduces the damage it takes from attacks by 30, so opponents often need an extra hit to finish it. Garland Ray, for two Psychic Energy, discards up to two Energy from Diancie and deals 120 damage for each one, giving you 120 or 240 depending on how much you are willing to spend. As a Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, it surrenders three Prize cards when Knocked Out.
This is the ME: Ascended Heroes printing, collector number 267/217, a full-art Ultra Rare in foil illustrated by DOM. Numbered beyond the set's main count, it is the showpiece version of the jewel Pokémon for a Mega Evolution binder.
