Magic: The Gathering single: Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest. Our grade: Near Mint. Pictured: this printing of the card. Every card ships triple-sleeved — a soft sleeve, a deck sleeve and a rigid top loader.
Item Description
Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest turns every sacrifice at the table into fuel for your army. Whenever any player sacrifices another permanent, you put a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control. That includes your own fodder, your opponents' fetch lands and Treasure tokens, and every edict you force on them, so a busy table makes your board swell turn after turn, even on other players' turns.
A five-mana 2/2 flier in black and green, Mazirek is a classic Golgari commander for aristocrats decks: pair it with free sacrifice outlets and token makers and a single turn can leave every creature you control several counters bigger. It also slips into the 99 of +1/+1 counter and sacrifice decks as a payoff that keeps working without you spending another card. The kraul, the insect folk of Ravnica's Golgari Swarm, give it a wonderfully creepy flavor.
This is a Secret Lair Drop printing of Mazirek in foil, a borderless full-art treatment that turns the Death Priest into a poster-style showpiece for the head of a Golgari deck.
