Game only: the cartridge in a protective holder, no box or manual. Look over the photos for condition, packaging and details. Every cartridge's shell, label and board are checked for authenticity when it comes into the store, and it's tested before it's listed. It ships in a collector's bag or a hard plastic case.
Twenty new tracks would have been plenty. Mario Kart: Super Circuit also packs in all twenty courses from the original Super Mario Kart, waiting to be unlocked, which gives this Game Boy Advance racer forty tracks and a direct line back to where the series began.
Developed by Intelligent Systems for Nintendo and released in 2001, Super Circuit plays like a love letter to the 16-bit original. Coins are back on the track, the flat, scaling courses feel right at home on a handheld screen, and the eight-racer lineup is the classic one: Mario, Luigi, Peach, Toad, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Wario and Bowser, split across light, medium and heavy handling. The item box arsenal brings green and red shells, banana peels, mushrooms, stars and the Lightning bolt that shrinks everyone else on the course, so no lead is ever completely safe.
The new courses are the real showcase. Peach Circuit eases you in, Sky Garden sends you racing above the clouds, Boo Lake and Broken Pier dare you to stay on the boards over open water, Cheese Land and Ribbon Road go full Mushroom Kingdom whimsy, and Rainbow Road is as unforgiving as ever. Every cup ends with a rank, so chasing top marks across the 50cc, 100cc and 150cc classes gives single-player racing serious staying power, and Time Trial ghosts keep pushing you toward a cleaner line.
Then there is multiplayer. Four players can race using a single Game Pak, and when everyone has their own copy, the full set of tracks and modes opens up, including Battle mode's balloon-popping arenas. Super Circuit was the series' first handheld entry, and for plenty of players it was the first time Mario Kart came along on a car trip or a sleepover. On original hardware it captures exactly that feeling: a bright, fast, slightly slippery racer with a lap count of content few portable kart games of its day could match.
Classic Mario Kart action is back once again, this time in a colorful, lightning-fast game that you can take anywhere. Mario, Luigi, Peach, Toad, Wario, Yoshi and Bowser are all tearing up the track, tossing Koopa Shells and laying banana peels along the way. Mario Kart Super Circuit puts your driving skills to the test on 40 tracks, each littered with wild weapons and obstacles. Choose to play as any of your favorite characters as you speed around classic and brand-new tracks. If you're feeling combative, try out the creative weaponry (mushrooms, bananas, thunder bolts, and stars) in Battle mode. Feel like making some friends eat your dust? No problem. Four players can compete in Mario Kart Super Circuit using only one Game Pak! If each player has a copy of the game, bonus features and new modes of play become available.
