Our grade: Near Mint. Pictured: this printing of the card. Every card ships triple-sleeved — a soft sleeve, a deck sleeve and a rigid top loader.
Item Description
Picture a creature that has already watched three Auras and a sword get stripped away by removal. Mantle of the Ancients hands every one of them back at once. This five-mana white Aura enchants a creature you control, and when it enters it returns any number of Aura and Equipment cards from your graveyard to the battlefield, all attached to that creature. The enchanted creature then gets +1/+1 for each Aura and Equipment attached to it, and the Mantle counts itself in that tally.
That makes it the comeback card Voltron players dream about. Suit-up decks pile everything onto one threat, and a single board wipe usually erases a whole game's worth of investment. Mantle turns your graveyard into a wardrobe: discarded Auras, milled Equipment and pieces lost to earlier removal all become future value, and a creature that returns wearing four or five pieces can suddenly swing for a lethal amount of commander damage. It rewards white Auras-and-Equipment decks that lean into self-mill and discard, and it punishes opponents who thought the danger had passed.
This is the Fallout printing, collector number 165, a rare illustrated by Igor Krstic and offered here in foil. It comes from Magic's Universes Beyond crossover with the Fallout series, released as a set of Commander decks in 2024, so it brings a little post-apocalyptic flavor to an already powerful build-around.
