Item Description
Little Nightmares III is the next haunting chapter in Bandai Namco's dark puzzle-platform series, and this Nintendo Switch 2 release brings it to Nintendo's newest hardware. The franchise has always stood apart from the crowd: its wordless storytelling, oppressive atmosphere and hand-crafted aesthetic have earned it a devoted fanbase since Tarsier Studios' original first unsettled players in 2017. This third entry, developed by Supermassive Games and released on October 10, 2025, expands on that legacy in a meaningful way by introducing cooperative play for the first time: you can explore its nightmare world alongside a friend in online co-op, or go solo with an AI companion.
You play as Low and Alone, two new protagonists trapped in the Nowhere, a mysterious dreamscape whose lands, including the cluster known as the Spiral, are filled with the series' signature grotesque environments and larger-than-life threats. Low, in his raven mask, wields a bow and arrow, while Alone, in her green jumpsuit and aviator hat, carries a wrench, and the game is designed around the tension of cooperation: knowing when to help, when to run and when to trust your partner in a world that wants nothing more than to see you fail.
The visual design is as imaginative and unsettling as ever, with environments that feel pulled from a dark children's storybook, all towering menace and eerie silence punctuated by moments of pure dread. For a series that lives and dies by atmosphere, Low and Alone's search for a way out of the Nowhere is a fitting third chapter, and a new studio's confident take on the world Tarsier built.
