Item Description
San Diego Comic-Con 2016 had a wicked twist: Eric Deschamps painted the five most recent Gatewatch planeswalkers, and every one of them except Liliana appeared as a zombie. Liliana, the Last Hope was the exception, the necromancer standing untouched while her allies fell under her spell, a clever bit of storytelling that makes this foil a favorite among Liliana collectors.
The card itself is a three-mana planeswalker with plenty to offer. Her +1 gives up to one target creature -2/-1 until your next turn, killing X/1s and protecting her loyalty from small attackers. Her -2 mills two cards and returns a creature card from your graveyard to your hand. Her -7 emblem creates 2/2 Zombies at the beginning of your end step, two plus the number of Zombies you control, a horde that grows every turn. It's a natural pairing with Zombie-themed Commander decks.
This is the San Diego Comic-Con 2016 promo printing, collector number 93, a foil illustrated by Eric Deschamps.
