Item Description
Neo Destiny split familiar Pokémon into two camps. Dark Pokémon, first introduced in Team Rocket, played the menacing role, while the new Light Pokémon offered a warmer, heroic counterpart, and Light Azumarill is a lovely example of that brighter side. It was illustrated by Yuka Morii, an artist best known for her three-dimensional clay-model Pokémon artwork.
Its attacks fit the protective spirit of the Light Pokémon. Bubble costs a single Water Energy, deals 10 damage and flips to Paralyze, while Bubble Jump deals 30 and, if you have a Benched Pokémon and flip heads, can move two Energy to that Benched Pokémon and return Light Azumarill to your hand along with everything attached, wiping away its damage while keeping your Energy in play. It evolves from Marill and carries 80 HP.
Neo Destiny closed out the Neo era in 2002 with some of the most charming concepts of the Wizards of the Coast years. This holofoil Light Azumarill is card 013/105, one of the set's holo rares and a cheerful highlight for a Neo binder.
