Magic: The Gathering single: Leyline of Anticipation, from Promo Pack: Core Set 2020. Our grade: Near Mint. Pictured: this printing of the card. Every card ships triple-sleeved — a soft sleeve, a deck sleeve and a rigid top loader.
Item Description
Imagine opening a game with permission to treat every spell in your deck like an instant. Leyline of Anticipation lets you cast spells as though they had flash, and if it is in your opening hand, you may begin the game with it already on the battlefield, skipping its four-mana cost.
Flash for everything is a surprisingly deep effect. You can pass the turn with mana open, then decide at the end of your opponent's turn whether to counter something, flash in a creature or fire off a sorcery. Opponents have to play around every possibility, while you never waste mana holding up interaction. Blue control and flash-themed Commander decks love it, and casting creatures as surprise blockers or a board wipe during an opponent's turn can swing whole games.
Leyline of Anticipation returned in Core Set 2020 as part of a full cycle of Leylines, one in each color. This is the Promo Pack edition of that Core Set 2020 card, featuring Noah Bradley's artwork and offered here in non-foil.
