Our grade: Near Mint. Pictured: this printing of the card. Every card ships triple-sleeved — a soft sleeve, a deck sleeve and a rigid top loader.
Item Description
In the Wasteland, survival is a group effort, and Lethal Scheme puts that idea into a single black instant. It destroys target creature or planeswalker, and convoke lets your creatures help pay its cost of two generic and two black mana by tapping. Every creature that pitched in then connives: draw a card, discard a card, and if the discard was a nonland card, that creature gets a +1/+1 counter.
That turns one removal spell into a whole turn's worth of value. With a few creatures on board, you can kill a threat at instant speed for little or no mana, sift through several cards and leave your team bigger than before. Token-heavy and go-wide Commander decks get the most out of it, and anything that likes cards in the graveyard enjoys the extra discards.
This is the Fallout surge foil printing, collector number 713, illustrated by Mirko Failoni. The Fallout Commander decks arrived in 2024, and surge foil is the rippling, eye-catching foil treatment Magic reserves for special Universes Beyond Commander printings, so this version catches the light like a flickering Pip-Boy screen.
